Back in 1954 Allard Motor Company had plans to build an updated version of the iconic Allard J2, this was to be the J3. Unfortunately, funds to build the car were not available and the car was never built.
Allard Sports Cars are now developing a J3 model. The first prototype has a Jaguar straight six engine and transmission. Subsequent cars will be powered by a Jaguar GMC V8, coupled to a six speed manual transmission.
The body design in many respects, is based on the Allard J2 model, but has many subtle changes, which enhance the eye catching profile without losing the classic and iconic J2 image.
Following on from the prototype J3 which was designed to facilitate the development of the new J3 body, we are now working on developing a further updated all aluminium chassis for the latest J3 model, with emission compliant GMC V8.
