The car that the Allard Motor Company wanted to manufacture in 1955 and with the support of the Dodge Division of Chrysler, to sell through selected Dodge dealerships in the USA.
The Mk3 is a proposed development of that car. The overall design aspects of the Mk3 Palm Beach are based on the 1956 Mk2 model. The new car has been refined and improved using new technology now available, but without losing its classic old time character and driver appeal.
The Mk3 will have a face lifted front end with revised styling, as will the rear of the Palm Beach. The wheel base will be lengthened by 4 inches, which will potentially provide more space for the rear seats. It will also ensure that the same rolling chassis platform can be used for both the Palm Beach and J3 models.
A range of engine options will be available from Jaguar 3.8 litre in-line 6 cylinder to GMC 6.2 litre V8. A prototype is being developed.
